Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement procedures in Crew Control to ensure all HKA operations are with a crew that complies with all regulatory and company requirements.
  • Establish and implement procedures in Crew Control to reasonably maintain the crew roster’s efficiency and balance among crew members in similar categories while adhering to regulatory and company requirements.
  • Feedback to Rostering and GM Crew Management with the statistics and summary of the actual roster, and assist in evaluating and providing suggestions to the planning strategy.
  • Assisting or deputizing Manager Crew Control in managing the Crew Control team and establishing, improving and implementing guidelines, work procedures and practice for the Crew Control Team.
  • Establishing and implementing procedures and mechanisms in Crew Control to track and monitor the team’s activities associated with their duty, in a view to provide feedback for continuous improvement and facilitate any necessary investigations.
  • Handle inquiries and any issues escalated by the Crew Control Team, raised by stakeholders or designated by the Manager Crew Control.
  • Assisting and deputizing Manager Crew Control in the liaison with external and internal stakeholders. Also, to complete all tasks assigned by the Manager Crew Control.
  • Establish and implement procedures in Crew Control to facilitate the requirements associated with Crew members’ training, licencing, vacation, joining and exit.
  • Participate and communicate with DMIOCC or his/her designated to assist in reviewing and improving IOCC procedures and decision-making processes relevant to Crew Control.
  • Participate in the crisis recovery process and continuously improve the crisis readiness in the Crew Control functions.

 

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of airline rostering/crew control experience with a minimum of 3 years at the supervisory level
  • Capable of handling conflict and settling arguments reasonably and amicably.
  • Well-versed in HKCAD Cap 371, CAD360, and IOSA requirements.
  • In-depth understanding of Crew Control functions and flight disruption handling
  • Proficiency in verbal communication in Cantonese, English and Putonghua.
  • Proficiency in applying computer skills to make reports and statistics.
  • Proficiency in report and procedure writing.
  • Able to work independently.
  • HKCEE/DSE or equivalent.
