Responsibilities

  • Develop, produce, implement and maintain the Company Crisis Management Plan including the company Crisis Management Manual and Station Emergency Procedures Manuals;
  • Responsible for the Crisis Management / Emergency Response aspects of IOSA accreditation;
  • Develop and conduct training in Crisis Management / Emergency Response;
  • Develop and conduct exercises and drills to test emergency preparedness and to audit the Crisis Management Plan;
  • Participate in the Company Safety Action Group;
  • Liaise with the Authorities on matters relating to Crisis Management / Emergency Response;
  • Represent the Departmental Director at industry forums relating to Crisis Management and Emergency Response;
  • Produce reports;
  • Undertake projects at the direction of the Departmental Director; and
  • Activate the HKA Crisis Management Plan if required during an emergency.

 

Requirements:

  • University degree or professional diploma in Aviation Management, Business Management or related discipline
  • 10 years of working experience in aviation operations, safety management system and/or crisis management, of which a minimum of 5 years of experience was in a managerial capacity
  • Track record in delivering projects and successful implementation of safety/crisis management programme
  • Received training in one or more of the following will be an advantage: Emergency Preparedness, Disaster Management, Business Continuity, Safety Management Systems (SMS), Transportation Disaster “Family Assistance”, Emergency Exercise Management, Critical Incident Management, or other ERP-related coursework
  • Excellent interpersonal, decision-making and coordination skills with a sound business mindset
  • Able to maintain composure in times of chaos, manage conflicts among parties, work under pressure and prioritise tasks based on importance and urgencies
