Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies locally aligned with the company’s overall business objectives
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats in the airline industry
  1. Sales Management:
  • Provide direction and sales target to HX sales team
  • Achieve revenue targets and maximize market share
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including travel agencies, corporate clients, and industry partners
  • Monitor HX sales performance and implement corrective actions as needed
  1. Marketing Initiatives:
  • Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns, promotions, and events to enhance brand awareness and customer engagement
  • Collaborate with HQ to optimize online presence and drive customer acquisition through various digital channels
  1. Local Market Expertise:
  • Leverage strong local networks to identify partnership opportunities and enhance the airline’s presence in the Vancouver market.
  • Stay informed about local market trends, customer preferences, and regulatory changes that may impact sales and marketing efforts.
  1. Budget Management:
  • Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve business goals
  • Analyze return on investment (ROI) for marketing initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly
  1. Performance Analysis:
  • Utilize data analytics to measure the effectiveness of sales and marketing strategies
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management on sales performance, market trends, and competitive analysis

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales and marketing within the airline or travel industry
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Strong understanding of the Vancouver market and local customer preferences
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
  • Proficiency in data analysis and marketing analytics tools
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
