Responsibilities

• Assist AM, Navigation Services overseeing supervision and quality control of Navigation Charts and Navigation Database received from outside supplier. Conduct initial and recurrent validation and checking of navigation charts and database based upon 28
• Manage and control the update of aircraft Navigation Database and Terrain Database, co-operate with Maintenance and Engineering Department for the update arrangements
• Assist AM, Navigation Services in scheduling and overseeing manual, validation tool, to support all required navigation performance operations
• Assist to notify navigation chart and database provider of all discrepancies found and follow up on corrective actions
• Advise AM, Navigation services of all found chart or database discrepancies which have a negative impact on current or future routes
• Initiate, without delay, such remedial action as may be necessary to safeguard the regularity of current and planned operations
• Providing essential information to crew in the most appropriate manner and
• Conduct relevant trainings and checks to other team members

Requirements

• 2 years previous experience as a Flight Planning Officer/Navigation Services Officer preferable
• Familiar with using flight planning programme/Navigation Validation tools(e.g. JEPPESEN JetPlanner, Navblue NFP)
• Previous experience in operational control/ flight dispatch, or have acted as a flight crew, navigator, meteorologist, air traffic controller or radio operation
• Previous experience with ICAO and/or HKCAD regulations desirable
• Good command of English. Native English or other languages speakers are welcome. Candidates with proficiency in written and spoken Chinese will be an advantage.
