Responsibilities

  • Gather system requirements from users and business owners, translating them into detailed requirements documentation, technical specification and other related documents. Analyze requirements and assess detailed solutions options from a system perspective
  • Full conversion, creation, alignment, traceability and successful mapping requirements into functional and technical specifications
  • To ensure requirements are mapped and documented to functional and technical specifications for software development projects
  • Review the Application Development vendors on development and implementation work as required. Oversee and QA the development of all solution components ensuring this meets requirements
  • Assists Team Leader in project/product architecture creation and management, plan and dealt with the relationship and the priority across business or across project/product
  • Assist Team leader to be charged of one product line (e.g. Operations domain/IT Service) and manage the whole project/product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Communicate effectively with business unit and internal IT teams to ensure delivery/implementation of the product/systems and meet stakeholders’ expectation
  • Performs post implementation review and support to ensure enhancements are delivered successfully after go production
  • Perform other ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Degree holder preferably in Computer Science or Engineering disciplines
  • Certification in PMP is a plus
  • At least 3 years' experience in business/systems analysis or 2 years in application development and support
  • Previous exposure to the airline's operations knowledge is an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience working with end users to gather and assess business needs and translate into technical specifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with good communication and interpersonal skills, familiar with business analysis process
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the full software development lifecycle and associated methodologies
  • Able to work independently as a good team player and quick learner, be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Project/Product Management experience or Technical Background are preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products and Chinese Words Processing, proficiency in Visio, prototype design tools and Microsoft Project or other project management software
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese including Mandarin
  • Immediate available is preferred
